YAHWEH's Remnant
But YAHWEH will never leave off HIS mercy, neither shall any of HIS works perish, neither will HE abolish the posterity of HIS elect, and the seed of HIM that loveth HIM HE will not take away: wherefore HE gave a REMNANT unto Jacob, and out of HIM a root unto David.
Although there have been identified and documented many "religious" sects, YAHWEH had HIS chosen, a people separate and apart from all of them. When you look at all the different divisions in the history of the "religious" sects, even the Essences, keep in mind, that out from amongst them, YAHWEH kept HIS remnant pure. For HE has always had HIS remnant, to set HIS love and anointing upon.
YAHWEH has a promised and preserved REMNANT throughout all generations. The definition of the word remnant gives a good identification of the people of YAHWEH.

1. Residue; that which is left after the separation, removal or
destruction of a part.
2. That which remains after a part is done, performed, told or passed.

YAHWEH's Word brings us constantly unto the revelation of who HE is, what HE is and what HE means unto HIS remnant. Even as YAHWEH's anointing transcends all time and language barriers, by this we are assured that in all generations HE has kept, and will keep, a remnant of HIS people, set apart and preserved for HIS honour. Not of works of righteousness, but only by knowing HIS love and unmerited favor, do we stand.
There has been a misconception in that some have identified the true remnant of YAHWEH, as a sect called the Essence, when in fact this is not true. The writer of the book, The Dead Sea Scriptures, Theodor H. Gaster, proposed that the identity of the group at the Qumran site in Palestine, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, were the Essence. Contrary to his writhing, the historical accounts of Flavius Josephus (a famous Jewish historian and priest-general at the time of the Jewish war) and Philo of Alexandria (a Jewish Philosopher of Egyptian dispersion, who lived between 30 B.C. and 40 A.D.) give documentation to contradict this evaluation.
Another factor that has added to the misconception of the Dead Sea group being called the Essence, is Father Roland De Vaux. Due to the control that De Vaux exercised over the scrolls, at his insistence the community of the Dead Sea was referred to as the Essence. Upon looking closer at the historical facts and the word of YAHWEH, we can clearly see, as follows, that this group was in fact the remnant of YAHWEH.
Ponder this; there is proof that the Dead Sea Scrolls were not written by the Essences and all information points to a SetApart remnant of YAHWEH.
YAHSHUA said " I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." Anyone that is of the world or a friend of the world is none of YAHWEH's. As proof of the Essences falling short of being the chosen remnant, during the time of Herod the Great, which spanned from 37 B.C. to 4 B.C., the Damascus community, at the site of the Dead Sea, was torn down and was not occupied. He is best known as the king who feared the birth of a rival "King of the Jews" and caused the murder of infants in Bethlehem at the time of the birth of YAHSHUA. It has been noted that the Essence were friends of Herod, so it goes to prove that the Damascus community, at the Dead Sea site, was the remnant, which was hated by Herod and not the Essence, who were friends of Herod.
In the beginning, YAHWEH's Law commanded an offering of animals on the altar as an atonement for sin. No remnant of YAHWEH would disobey a direct commandment and so the Essence, whom did not believe in offering animals, would not have been the true remnant. At the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, it has been documented that there were animal bones, to substantiate that there had been the offering of animals on the altar.
Also, it has been stated that the Essence did not believe that YAHWEH could be the cause of any evil. Scripture clearly states " See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;" for YAHWEH has created all things and is in control of all things. The remnant of YAHWEH live by every word of YAHWEH and our armour is based upon fighting the fiery darts of hell. Scripture tells us, "And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure." We firmly believe that YAHWEH is the one that allows Satan to buffet us, for the trying of our trust in HIM.
"Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him." Does it not seem odd that the Essence regarded oil as a defilement? A child of YAHWEH prays for the anointing oil of YAHWEH to be poured out upon HIS people.
Last, the Essence believe the accomplishment of praiseworthy deeds as the means by which a man can ensure absolute freedom for himself. The scriptures states, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the SetApart-(Holy) Spirit;"
