The Importance of YAHWEH’s Feasts
"Why do we teach that we must keep the Old Covenant Feasts?"
"Why do we teach that we must keep the Old Covenant Feasts? Were they done away, along with the rest of the Torah like sacrifices and other rituals?” Many have the mistaken belief that what is found in the Old Covenant is old, dead and faded away. This common misunderstanding completely loses sight of the Covenant YAHWEH made with Yisrael and still makes with HIS people today, the SetApart believers. The Torah promises and expectations are a part of YAHWEH’s plan, just as for those in the Renewed Covenant. There are not two different requirements, one for Jews and another for us. Scripture clearly states in Yochanan (John) 10:35: “Scripture cannot be broken.”
Mosheh was instructed about Passover and the first Feast, Unleavened Bread. YAHWEH told him, "And this day shall be to you for a memorial; and you shall keep it A Feast to YAHWEH throughout your generations; you shall keep it A Feast by an ordinance forever" Shemoth (Exodus) 12:14.
