The Harvest Of FirstFruits (bikkuwr); Pentecost

And you shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest

The Purpose of this High Shabbath of YAHWEH is that MESSIYAH is coming for the First-Fruit of the harvest, which are those that are ready and have prepared themselves. These events remind us what YAHWEH has said in Scripture and HE is going to fulfill it. YAHWEH's Feast Days are memorials unto HIM, that we set aside every activity and responsibility to concentrate on HIM, bless HIM and worship HIM. The Feast Days of YAHWEH are part of our confidence and love toward HIM and as we come to the knowledge of these events they all have significance in every aspect.

One Of The Types And Shadows

One of the types and shadows of Pentecost was in the wilderness with the children of Israel. Fifty days after the Passover they were at Mt. Horeb and YAHWEH came down with fire. Moshe went up Mt. Horeb and received the commandments from YAHWEH. This was the first parallel that we see in the Renewed Covenant at the Day of Pentecost.

The FirstFruits Are YAHWEH's

YAHWEH makes very clear that the FirstFruits are to be HIS and when we do not obey evil will come upon us. What we should do is acknowledge that YAHWEH has given us the increase, in obedience to HIS Word, to everything that HE is doing in our lives. YAHWEH wants us to acknowledge HIM, for Scripture says "In all your ways acknowledge YAHWEH, and HE shall direct your paths." FirstFruits are as the first thing in the morning we should praise HIM for waking us up.

One Returned With The FirstFruit Of Blessings Of Praise

At the previous Feast Day of Unleavened Bread we were instructed to bake without leaven, to get the leaven out of us. During this Feast Day of YAHWEH we are instructed to bake with pure leaven, which represents the leaven of YAHWEH's Kingdom. The bread that we make, the words we speak, the praises all represents our offerings unto YAHWEH. As the ten lepers that went away after they were healed, only one returned with the firstfruit of blessings of praise for being healed by YAHSHUA. A few there will be, only one out of ten there.
