YAHWEH's Feasts:
Feast Of Unleavened Bread
Nissan XXIV-XXX (April 24-30)
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial;
and you shall keep it a feast to YAHWEH throughout your generations;
you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Unleavened means drained out or unfermented. It symbolizes the separateness of YAHWEH'S people from their sin that causes their carnal spirit to rise up against the loving kindness of their ABBA (FATHER). Precious ABBA YAHWEH through HIS written Word gives Commandments, the Law and examples of how to walk before HIM on every aspect of life. YAHWEH gave us an example of how to be sheltered in HIS pavilion with the "pass over" experience in Egypt. The seven days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread was to be a memorial unto YAHWEH for HIS strong hand of salvation from the death and bondage of Egypt. (Shemoth (Exodus) 12:15-20; Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:1-8)
YAHWEH's Feast Days Set Aside To Prepare For Our Husbandman
YAHWEH is preparing HIS people
to be a pure virtuous BRIDE as our example YAHSHUA MESSIYAH.. The
BRIDEGROOM expects HIS BRIDE the be without any leaven. In order to
prepare for that day SHE must practice to please HER HUSBAND in all things.
The Assembly of YAHWEH is without excuse! YAHWEH is more than able to make us
into what HE would have us to be. Our problem is that we are a stubborn and
rebellious house that hardens our heart against the commandments of our HUSBANDMAN.
History Of Unleavened Bread
Beginning with the offering of the sheaf at the beginning of the
harvest Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:11; Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:9), it was
permissible to bake unleavened bread from the grain of the new crop (Yahshua
Ben Nun- (Joshua) 5:11); but until the Feast of Weeks, fifty days later, concluding the harvest
, the use of the new crop for leavened baking was prohibited. This prohibition
came to an end with the special cereal offering of two leavened loaves of bread
at Weeks, consumed by the priests. (Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:17).
The absence of leaven was a mark of separateness or righteousness; leaven was
kept form the purity of YAHWEH's altar, and, in times of SetApart Pureness-
(sanctity), from HIS
people also. Just as the blood was drained (Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 1:15) from the
animals offered, so the life or power of leaven was kept from the bread offered
to YAHWEH. (The Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible)
Therefore let us keep the feast,
not with old leaven,
neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness;
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
